Introducing Nemo Travel
Nemo Travel is an ambitious luxury travel Startup rewriting the rules of an industry with a stunning, user-centric Digital platform which gives people the ability to build their dream trip from unique, hand-picked destinations and experiences. Self-proclaimed travel nerds and co-founders of Nemo Travel – James Wales and Tom Harding – are passionate about “changing perceptions on luxury travel by launching a platform which empowers consumers, constantly innovates and works sustainably.”
The Challenge
We were selected to define the 12 month Digital Marketing & Growth Strategy to launch and grow the Nemo Travel business across owned, paid and earned media.
The Action
The process began with a half-day Discovery Workshop to immerse us into Nemo Travel’s business. The objective was to understand the true DNA of the Startup, from the founding story to the growth goal, right through to the business plan and the operating model.
Once the business was clear, the user insight phase began. Working closely with Nemo Travel’s founders, a set of target customer personas were developed drawing on the team’s rich experience in luxury travel and front-line experience of the customer.
Taking the personas as a starting point, strategic Growth initiatives were planned across the Marketing Funnel to craft a sustainable Growth model which blends earned, paid and owned strategies. The Nemo Travel platform was also reviewed through an SEO lens, with technical and structural recommendations given to enhance the long term Organic Search Visibility of the platform.
An actionable Growth playbook which outlines in detail the shape of each Digital Growth initiative was designed and deliver to the founders. The strategy was accompanied by a channel-by-channel growth forecast – built from the “consumer-up” the forecast provides a detailed financial model to map the commercial path towards Nemo Travel’s growth goal.
Finally, a simple activation calendar and visual user journey map was delivered to give Nemo Travel an instant view of how and when to activate the Digital Growth Strategy.
